Our organization Shri Kathiawar Nirashrit Balashram is been working in the field of social services since 1907. Thousands of children have been brought up, developed, and rehabilitated by our organization in our history of 100+ years.
Our organization also admits children with Surrender, Abandonment as well as children with single parents whose parents cannot provide care and protection to the child. The full responsibility of all the children of the organization is borne by the organization till the children reach the age of 18 years. In addition to that, even after 18 years of age, if our son or daughter wants to go for the higher studies, we fully support them, the entire cost of the study is borne by the institute, and we make sure that they are reintegrated into the society.
We also support childless parents in the county and abroad who want to adopt a child. The adoption process is done as per the guidelines of the Central Adoption Resource Authority of India (CARA). So far, thousands of children have been adopted and rehabilitated in the country and abroad.
The institute runs a school under the name of A. V. Jasani Vidyamandir in Rajkot where children get education from Grade 1 to Grade 12 in English Medium and Gujarati medium. This helps children from the organization to get quality education so they can be reintegrated in the society at a later stage. School also supports children from the weaker sections of society with reasonable fees.
An old age home is run by the organization in Morbi (Gujarat) where elders are protected without any discrimination of gender or religion. No fees or charges are collected from elders and they are treated with respect and dignity.
Society is changing, we saw that elders from wealthy families often feel lonely at home. Their children are out for jobs and business. Such elders do not have financial problems but thy don't have family or friends to spend time with. To address this issue, we have initiated a Day Care Center where such elders can come and participate in various activities.
