"Kathiawar Nirashrit Balashram" is an ideal institution offering exemplary home to orphan children. This is a unique institution of excellent reputation not only in Gujarat but also in entire country. This institution was established in 1907 by Shri Sitaram Pandit & Kunver Shri Harbhamji Saheb of Morbi. There are 190 children stying in this orphanage from the age group of 1 day to 22 years. orphan children are admitted to this institution without distinction of cast creed and community.
Main objective of this institution is to rehabilitate orphans in the society till they are settled in life. This institution imparts education from nursery to college standard. Apart from education this institution has various facilities like sewing, Knitting, Music class and cultural activities under the guidance of expert teachers.
Child Adoption is one of the main activity of this institute orphans are given for adoption to the happy and well settled couples having no children after strict scrutiny. During last 25 years about 350 children are given for adoption in india. our children are given for adoption in U.K., U.S.A., France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, and other European and African countries.
Approximately 200 children are given for adoption in foreign countries in last 25 years. Balashram regularly getting reports of adopted children from foreign adoptive parents. Many adoptive parents from foreign countries are visiting Balashram along with their children.
Balashram is arranging marriage of the girls of this institution every year. During last 25 years, 350 girls are married and are now settled well in Family life happily. strict procedure followed for selection of candidate for marriage. Marriage ceremony is celebrated nicely as per our tradition. Kanyadan is given by the reputed of the society to each girl for marriage.
Children who have completed Higher Education and are settled in society by joining services in Multinational Companies.
